Terms & Conditions
Plain-English terms for using this website and ordering from us.
Last updated: 27 October 2026
These terms explain how you can use the Blinds 4 U website and how we handle quotes, orders and fitting. "We", "us" and "our" mean Blinds 4 U Limited. "You" means anyone using this website or ordering from us. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
1. About us
Blinds 4 U Limited is a family-run business supplying and fitting made-to-measure blinds and shutters across Teesside, Whitby and the surrounding area. You can reach us on 01287 203 817 (Guisborough), 01947 228 007 (Whitby) or 07807 025 574 (mobile and WhatsApp), or through our contact page.
2. Using this website
You may browse this website and share links to it for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must not misuse the site, including by trying to gain unauthorised access to it, introducing viruses or other harmful code, or copying our text, photographs or branding without our written permission.
We try to keep the information on this site accurate and up to date, but it is for general guidance only. Product photographs are representative: colours can look different on screen, and fabrics, finishes and ranges change from time to time. We will always show you real samples before you order.
We may update or withdraw any part of the website at any time and cannot promise it will always be available or free from errors.
3. Quotes and home visits
Home visits, measuring and quotes are free and there is no obligation to buy. Any price shown on this website or given before a home visit is a guide only. Your price is confirmed in a written quote once we have measured your windows and you have chosen your products.
Quotes are based on the measurements we take. If you supply your own measurements, you are responsible for them being correct.
4. Placing an order
A contract is formed when you accept our written quote and we confirm your order. Your quote or order form will set out the products, the price, any deposit and when the balance is due. If anything in your quote or order form differs from these terms, the quote or order form applies.
If a price on our website is wrong because of an obvious error, we are not bound by it, but we will tell you the correct price before you order.
5. Made-to-measure products and cancellations
Our blinds and shutters are made to your measurements and specification. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, the usual 14-day right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification once we have placed your order with the manufacturer.
If you want to cancel or change your order, please tell us as soon as possible. If production has not started, we will do our best to help. If it has, we may keep some or all of your deposit to cover costs we have already incurred.
6. Fitting
We will agree a fitting date with you and let you know as soon as possible if anything delays it. Please make sure we can safely reach the windows and that any furniture, ornaments or existing blinds are moved beforehand, unless we have agreed to remove old blinds for you.
Our fitters take care in your home. Please let us know before fitting about any hidden pipes or cables near your windows, or about any window frames you know to be fragile.
7. Payment
Payment terms are set out in your quote or order form. Unless we agree otherwise, the balance is due when fitting is complete. Products remain our property until they have been paid for in full.
8. If something is wrong
Your products come with the guarantee described in your quote or order paperwork, on top of your legal rights. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and fitting must be carried out with reasonable care and skill.
If there is a problem, please contact us as soon as you notice it. We will arrange to inspect it and, where the fault is ours or the manufacturer's, repair or replace the product. Our guarantee does not cover wear and tear, accidental damage, misuse, or blinds that have been altered or refitted by someone else.
9. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.
10. Child safety
All blinds we supply meet the current child-safety standards for cords and chains, and we fit safety devices where required. Please keep cords and chains out of the reach of young children and do not move cleats or tension devices once fitted.
11. Your personal information
We use the details you give us only to deal with your enquiry, quote and order. See our privacy statement and cookie policy for full details.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here applies to your use of the website; the version in force when you accept your quote applies to your order.
13. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. If you have a complaint, please contact us first and we will do our best to put things right.
