Last updated: 27 October 2026
This notice explains what personal information Blinds 4 U Limited ("we", "us") collects, why we collect it, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. We are the controller of your personal information under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
1. How to contact us

2. What we collect

- Phone calls, texts, WhatsApp and social media messages: your contact details and anything you choose to tell us, including photos of your windows.
- Home visits and orders: your address, window measurements, product choices, appointment dates, and records of what you have paid. We do not keep full card numbers.
- Website use: our web server keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to keep the site secure and working. We do not use analytics or advertising tracking.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
- To reply to your enquiry, visit you and give you a quote: because you have asked us to take these steps before entering into a contract.
- To make, fit and guarantee your blinds or shutters, and take payment: to perform our contract with you.
- To keep financial and tax records: to meet our legal obligations.
- To handle complaints and guarantee claims, and to keep our website secure: for our legitimate interests in running the business properly.
We will only send you marketing messages if you have agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time. We do not sell your information, and we do not make decisions about you by automated means.
4. Who we share it with
We only share what is needed, with:
- our website hosting and email providers, who store and transmit the information for us;
- the manufacturers who make your products, where your details are needed for the order;
- our accountants, banks and payment providers, for payments and financial records;
- authorities such as HMRC or the police, where the law requires it.
If you contact us through WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram, those services are run by Meta, which has its own privacy policy.
5. Transfers outside the UK
Some of our service providers, including our hosting provider and Google (which supplies the fonts on this website and receives your IP address when the page loads), may process information outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by UK adequacy regulations or by approved contract terms that protect your information.
6. How long we keep it
- Enquiries and quotes that do not lead to an order: up to 12 months after our last contact with you.
- Order, guarantee and financial records: 6 years after the end of the tax year in which your order was completed, as required for tax purposes.
- Server logs: a short period only, normally no more than 30 days.
7. Your rights
You have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
- ask us to delete your information, where we no longer have a reason to keep it;
